Blue and white in the limbo of existence and disappearance

Drawing (Cyanotype)

From Humane King Sūtra: “There are ninety moments (kṣaṇa) within a single thought; and there are nine hundred cessations and arisings within a single moment.”
Cyanotype typically takes 45 minutes to develop. The exposed parts turn a vibrant blue, while the unexposed remain pristine.
The time taken for development is seen as its possibilities: paper dying, drawing, natural drying or under the sun are all steps that can be “developed”. The dye, UV rays, paper and myself all exist within time, wandering across the indeterminacy of a single thought. In the moment that gives birth to nine hundred cessations and arisings, perhaps that is also where the blue exists and vanishes.
As I draw nine hundred blues, I dredge nine hundred ways.
As I draw nine hundred ways, I draw nine hundred whites.
